Gee… I guess I am a very fussy user. I have been using my android powered smartphone for a month and yet to settle down with my favourite web browser.
When I first got the phone, I immediately installed Opera Mini as Opera has always been my favourite desktop browser. But Opera Mini for android is not very impressive. The jpgs are rendered and compressed badly that they appear to have patches at the background. Furthermore, there is no “click click” sound when I press any buttons.
Then I tried Dolphin Browser HD. Everything seemed well until I found out that many times it froze when I tried to swipe the screen to the left to access the bookmark.
Maybe Dolphin HD is too heavy. How about Dolphin Mini. Hey… this one is good and fast… until one day, the whole phone hanged and it turned off by itself and turned on again (rebooting). What happened? I cannot tolerant such flaw. Too bad, it had to go.
OK, next, I installed Skyfire. Not bad… but it has a “facebook skybar” at the bottom that pops up everytime I try to view a webpage. And I cannot sort the bookmark entries the way I want them to be. Hmm… not my cup of tea too.
Miren Browser… heard it before? Weird name indeed. I gave it a try. Hmm… so far, it is working fine. Still in testing mode.
Just downloaded Dolphin Browser HD version 4.3 Beta and it is now in testing mode too. Hope I can find a great browser that suits me.
