In the teaching profession, non-graduate teachers start with grade DG29 and then will be promoted to grade DG32, DG34 and DG38. Meanwhile, graduate teachers start with grade DG41 and then will be promoted to grade DG44, DG48 and DG52.
I started at DG29. I enrolled into a university to upgrade myself, thinking that in future I might get transferred to a secondary school with better seniority, better pay and better post.
After graduated from the university, I was promoted to DG41. The difference between my DG29 and DG41 pay was only RM70. After those many years of hardship, I was paid RM70 extra. Those non graduate DG32 teachers have higher salary than me.
My year of teaching service was reset to zero, means I was considered a fresh new teacher. The Teachers’ Union fought for it and finally those DG41 teachers were given the maximum of 3 years service no matter how long they have taught. I was in DG29 for 14 years. Now I get only 3 years. 11 years gone in smoke.
I was also directed to stay in the primary school because by the year 2010, 50% of the primary school teachers will be graduated teachers. I was among the first batch of graduated teachers reserved for primary school. I was thinking by the year 2010, those graduate teachers will be replacing the retired administrators. But the scenario was not true. The admin posts are now reserved for DG34 and DG38 only. DG41 has exceeded the grade.
So now? After graduated from the university, I Iost my seniority. I lost the better pay and I lost the post. In another 2 years I will virtually reach the peak of my scale. Then there is no way else I can go except to stay put in the primary school seeing people with lower grade becoming my boss.
What went wrong with the DG? I think it would be better if I quit and start a DiGi shop.

Well, that is the Malaysia type of administration. Maybe I suggest you join UMNO, perhaps you will have a triple jump 😉 . Or convert to and name Abdullah, maybe you got a better chance to be boss in future.
Another scenario is wait for the change of PM, hopefully, there may be some changes. If still cannot, then only hope for the change of Government ! ops. haha

what can i say,we stuck in this vicious cycles.as long as the KPM runs by BS guys,we stuck till our pension days.that why i like to do business.it’s time to turn your photography skills to make some money.for me i stick to trading the currencies market.nasib badan.
